The Chelsea Bulldog boys Track and Field Team hosted Ypsilanti on Tuesday and kept the team’s dual meet undefeated streak alive with a 94-43 victory.
Coach Eric Swager believes this record goes back to “at least 2010” and this meet was the first step in the team’s quest for a league title.
Highlights include:
- Bailey Edwards ran the fastest 200 dash in stadium history with his 21.76 clocking.
- Noah Van Reesema and Mike Smith each won multiple events.
- Jeremy Northrop, Josh Cole, Chris Roush, Jacob Grubbs, and Brian O’Toole each had their first career victories in a track event.
“There were a few hiccups along the way, “ the coach said, but “We are encouraged by our early-season progress.”
He also wanted to thank all the parents and volunteers who attended the meet and supported the team.
