The Chelsea Girl’s Track and Field Team improved its dual meet win streak to 25-0 over the last six seasons with a 94-43 victory over Ypsilanti High School on Tuesday, April 9.

“Overall, it was a solid team win that showed our depth,” said Shane Rodriquez, head girl’s track and field coach, who added, “Many girls were moved around to maximize our point-scoring opportunities.”

Grace Sauers once again led the effort, winning the two hurdle events. In addition, she was on the winning 800-meter relay, and placed second in the long jump.

Laura McGrath also had some impressive early season 100-meter times in the 100-meter dash and the 4 x 100 relay.

The team travels to Whitmore Lake for a relay invitational Friday, April 12, and will run against Adrian on Tuesday, April 16.
