As readers know, Chelsea Update has a scoreboard on the home page for Chelsea High School sports scores but in order to keep those scores up-to-date, I need the help of coaches and parents with athletes involved in fall sports to assist me.
Some coaches are terrific about sending me scores and even recap stories; others aren’t. So if you’d like your athlete’s team scores published on Chelsea Update, please email the results including the sport and full name of the opponent and the final score to [email protected] or text the information to me at 734-358-2912. I will get them published as soon as possible.
Although school doesn’t open until the day after Labor Day, many Bulldog student-athletes begin their fall seasons this week.
According to the fall schedules on the Chelsea High School website:
Varsity tennis begins its season on Aug. 17 at Fowlerville on Aug. 17.
Varsity soccer is home on Aug. 18 against Manchester.
Varsity volleyball has an open date on Aug. 19.
Boys and Girls varsity cross country have a meet on Aug. 18 at Michigan Center High School.
Varsity golf opened on Aug. 16 against Perry High School.
Varsity swimming heads to the pool on Aug. 23 at Waverly Senior High School.
Varsity field hockey open its season on Aug. 21 against Grosse Point High School South.
Varsity water polo its its season underway on Aug. 31 against Troy High School.
The first varsity football game is Aug. 25 at Milan High School beginning at 7 p.m.
