Chelsea Kiwanis installs new officers, nut sale underway

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bob Milbrodt for the information in this story.)

Last Monday the Chelsea Kiwanis Club held an outdoor meeting at Pierce Park with two business items: installation of officers and directors, and approval of the budget for the club’s fiscal year which began Oct. 1.

The current Lt. Governor Nancy Memmer conducted the installation.

2020-21 Officers: President John Knox, Secretary Ray Kemner, Treasurer Bob Milbrodt, and Past President Marianne Knox.
2020-21 Directors: Jim Randolph, Nancy Memmer, Lindsay Baker, Dave Schaible, Larry Memmer, Haley Thomsen, and Neil Horning.

Due to the pandemic, we were unable to perform many projects and usual fundraisers this spring and summer. However, the club has optimistically budgeted for a resumption of most of its activities in 2021.

Club members are looking forward to a successful Mixed Nut and Chocolate Sale to continue their service to the Chelsea community. They expect delivery of the mixed nuts and Delicious Delights next week.

Several ways to help us:

  1. See any Kiwanian to get delivery.
  2. Visit our Facebook page to place your order.
  3. Stop by the Chelsea Farmer’s Market on Wednesday, Nov. 4, Saturday, Nov. 7, or Saturday, Nov. 14.

Normally, Chelsea Kiwanis meets each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.
