Chelsea Kiwanis quietly assists numerous organizations throughout the year

(Publisher’s note: I asked Bob Milbrodt to come up with a list of all the events and organizations and people that the Chelsea Kiwanis Club supports each year. I knew it was a lot, but, you judge for yourselves.)

Please take a moment to ponder all of the people who have been helped by the Chelsea Kiwanis Club in the last year. It will truly warm your heart during this Christmas season.

  • Cooper’s Fun Run at Hudson Mills Metropark – cheer and hand ribbons to finishers, provide funds for trophy tops and ribbons
  • SJMC’s Heart and Sole Run – water station staffing
  • BUG Program – Bring Up Grades at South School recognition with a pizza party
  • Staffing the end of school year Ice Cream Social net proceeds from refreshments from our food concession trailer go to PTO

  • Provide apple slices at Bulldog Jog
  • Hold recognition dinners for farmers, area First Responders, Boy and Girl Scouts, and members of our Kiwanis family service partners – St. Louis Center Aktion Club, Chelsea and Dexter Key Clubs, and U of M Circle K
  • Attend Key Club meetings to provide opportunities for service for their members, e.g.: shoe drive, Easter Egg Hunt, plant sale workers, leaf raking for seniors, costume judging at Kid’s Fair Parade and Halloween Party, games and crafts at SJMC’s Breakfast with Santa
  • Take pumpkins to Mott Children’s Hospital for kids to decorate
