The Chelsea Lions Club will be out going door to door on Saturday, Oct. 5 selling subscriptions for their flag display project.

They hope to install at least 100 flags by Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11 so motorists traveling through the city will be greeted by American flags lining the streets.

The Chelsea Lions Flag Day project includes doing the work to display Old Glory on the five major flag holidays — Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4, Labor Day and Veterans Day.

A yearly subscription is $40 and the flags remain the property of the Lions Club. But, if you refer a neighbor and they buy a yearly subscription, you’ll get $5 off your following year’s subscription.

The 3 by 5 flags will go up 3-4 days before the holiday and be taken down 3-4 days afterward.

Go here, and look under the projects tab for all the details.
