On Saturday, Sept. 23, six members of the Chelsea High School Orchestra (all of which are members of the Chelsea House Orchestra) attended the 2017 Bowling Green State University Honors String Festival. These members were able to take part in a day long schedule of workshops, master classes, eurhythmics class, and a campus tour.
To end the festival, all six members were able to perform in a concert with the Bowling Green Philharmonic.
Select Chelsea High School Orchestra and Band students will be attending the MSBOA All-State Competition on Oct. 28-29 in Saline.
The Chelsea House Orchestra (CHO) has a some gigs lined up for the remainder of 2017. Check out the website for updates and additional gigs at www.chelseahouseorchestra.org

- Saturday, Sept. 30, CHO will perform at the Michigan State University Football game in East Lansing.
- Wednesday Oct. 4, CHO will perform a private event for the United Way Washtenaw County at the University of Michigan.
- Thursday, Oct. 5, CHO will perform a private event at the Silver Strings Dulcimer Society in Dearborn.
- Saturday Oct. 28, CHO will perform at the Washington Street Education Center. This gig includes a performance by the group, Crossbow.
- Tuesday, Dec. 5, CHO will perform at the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital Axillary.
- CHO’s big event, the Hometown Show, will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018.
