Chelsea Rod and Gun Club St. Patrick’s Day dinner fundaiser for high school scholarships

Chelsea Rod and Gun Club will host a St. Patrick’s Day Dinner on Saturday, March 16 at 5 p.m. to benefit Chelsea High School students.

Kevin Kooyers, chairman of the event, said all proceeds are used for scholarships for the high school students and in 2010, the club gave out three $1,000 scholarships and in 2011, the dinner made enough money to give out five $1,100 scholarships.

Tickets are $12.50 at the door for adults for a corned beef and cabbage dinner, and $6 for children, 12 years and younger. There will also be hot dogs and mac and cheese for younger diners.

The dinner, in its 20th year, will take place at the Rod and Gun Club at 7103 Lingane Road and doors open at 4 p.m. and members will begin serving at about 5 p.m.
