Chelsea Rotary seeking high school volunteers during Chelsea Community Fair

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Lori Coryell for the information in this story.)

Hey, high school students, are you interested in serving your community, getting service credit, AND having a great time at the Chelsea Community Fair?

If so, the Chelsea Rotary Club has a terrific opportunity for you.

The Chelsea Rotary Club is looking for a few good kids to volunteer at the Rotary trailer at the Chelsea Community Fair from Tuesday, Aug. 21 through Saturday, Aug. 25.

Volunteers are needed from 2-8 p.m. on those dates to assist with the sale of soda pop, water, and ear plugs (you remember how loud that demolition derby gets, right?).

All funds raised through these sales benefit the Chelsea community directly through scholarships to local high school students and donations to worthy community organizations like Faith in Action and Saturday Morning Challengers.

So, if you have some free time and want to do some good – and have a great time doing it– please contact Lorna Tackwell at (734) 475-1664 or [email protected].
