The Chelsea Soccer Club Boys U9 Blue soccer team were runners Up in the U9 Boys division of the Rose City Soccer Tournament in Jackson on June 2.
The team’s record for the tournament was 2-1-1, and the club played the Canton Celtics 04 White in the championship match on Sunday evening and lost 2-0.
In preparation for the championship game, the boys had their hair spray painted blue and gold and Coach Mike Hay even allowed his to be spray painted blue.
The Boys U9 Blue soccer team is coached by Hay and Brent Martin, Chelsea Soccer Club president.
