Chelsea Update focus on business: Sheridan Books, Inc.

Sheridan Books, Inc. is both a book printer and a publishing solutions provider. The Chelsea location at 613 E. Industrial Dr., is one of four Sheridan print facilities in the country.

“We work with authors, publishers, associations, and university presses to provide them with custom book printing and book binding, eBook conversion, direct-to-consumer eCommerce solutions, and so much more,” said Laura Baker, Sheridan Books’ market manager.

“Whether someone needs one book printed or 50,000, a title converted to eBook format, or an eCommerce platform to sell their content directly to consumers, our expert team members guide customers through every step of the process to ensure that a quality product is delivered on time,” she said.

Sheridan Books, Inc. was formed in 1999 through the merger of Braun Broomfield in Ann Arbor and BookCrafters in Chelsea. In December of 2016, employees from the Ann Arbor location relocated to the Chelsea facility.

“Sheridan proudly works with customers worldwide,” said Baker. “Our customers represent a variety of publishing market segments including trade and educational publishing, university presses, associations, and authors.”

Baker has been at Sheridan since 2005 and has watched the company evolve with the industry.
