The Purple Rose Theatre Company is taking reservations for its next class session, Voice and Movement. The first class begins on Saturday, April 5 and continues through Saturday, May 17.

There will be no class on April 26.

Each session meets from 10 a.m. -1 p.m.

The voice and the body are the actor’s most important instruments. This course is designed to open up and free these instruments through relaxation, breaking through habitual tension and body patterns, and deepening the understanding of one’s inner life and outer behavior. The goal is to surrender to the true self so we can work with ease and authenticity, according to information about the class.

PRTC Resident Artist and Voice and Movement Instructor Michelle Mountain says, “Most actors take a voice class and a movement class, separate from one another. This class combines voice and movement exercises to develop the actor’s connection to their whole, integrated self.”

All skill levels are welcome.

Students must be 18 years of age or older to participate, and the fee is $350.

Class size is limited to 10.
