On Friday, July 25 be sure to zip on over to the Classic Cruisers Car Show during the 38th annual Sounds and Sights Festival.
Sponsored by Parts Peddler Auto Supply, this event is an annual favorite for car enthusiasts and showcases more than 300 classic cars from across the Midwest region.
The car show takes place on Middle, East and Harrison streets from 3-8 p.m. Registration takes place from 3-6 p.m. and dash plaques will be awarded to the first 200 registered.
No entry fee or pre-registration is required.
Awards are presented at 8 p.m. in the following categories: Merchant’s Choice, Chief of Police Choice, Chelsea Classic Cruiser (CCC) Ladies’ Choice, CCC Men’s Choice, Mayor’s Choice and DPW’s Favorite Truck.
The Car Show Entertainment Stage, sponsored by Victory Lane Quick Oil Change, will feature live music by Dorkestra, a diverse group of musicians who have combined their study of Jazz, African, Latin, World, and Funk into a unique eclectic repertoire.
After the car show, be sure to stay and enjoy live entertainment in the Festival Social Tent featuring county artists Bill Bynum and Co at 7 p.m., followed by Whitey Morgan and the 78’s.
