(Chelsea Update would like to thank Jeff Holden for the information in this story.)
Since opening the doors of the first restaurant in 1984, Culver’s® has been committed to being an active member in its local community.
On Feb. 24, Culver’s of Chelsea, located at 1610 South Main St., carried on that tradition by raising more than $1,400 for the Chelsea PTO. A portion of all sales from 5-8 p.m. was donated.
“We’re proud to call Chelsea home and doing our part to help just feels right,” said Gerry Olinik. “We strive to make a difference in the community we share with so many others and working with Chelsea Elementary PTO allows us to help support individuals and families in our area.”
The Chelsea Elementary PTO will use the funds raised for teacher grants. Teachers can apply for a grant to cover the cost of a classroom item that would otherwise not be covered.
The PTO also funds books, events, staff appreciation, assemblies, and student planners. Parents who want to know more information about what PTO does are welcome to come to any of our board meetings. You can email [email protected] for more information.
Culver’s support of Chelsea Elementary PTO is just part of its dedication to giving back to the community. From Culver’s founders to locally owned and operated restaurants, each franchise partner and team member understands the importance of serving those in need.
