Details set for the celebration of life for Thomas Oliver Ball

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, Oct. 11 for Thomas Oliver Ball who went into the loving arms of our Lord on Sept. 13, 2014, at the age of 81.

Born on June 19, 1933, the youngest son of Joseph A. Ball and Rose (Zink) Ball, he was raised in Chelsea, Michigan, on the family farm homestead on Lima Center Road. He deeply loved his family – to include his four-legged family members.

He lived in Tallahassee, Florida, with his daughter Cynthia and her fiance Jim Gregory. Over the years, he was employed at Chelsea Milling (Jiffy Mixes), Dana Corporation, as a house painter, and finally retiring from the Ford Motor Company (Saline).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home, Chelsea, with Deacon Tom Franklin officiating.

Interment will follow in the family plot at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Chelsea.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
