Freedom Township home invasion reported

(Publisher’s note: Although this didn’t happen in Chelsea, I thought readers would like to be made aware of this recent incident.)

According to Michigan State Police, a home invasion occurred on Thursday, Sept. 19, in the 3400 block of Rentz Road in Freedom Township.

Sometime between 4-6 p.m., the suspects kicked in a rear entry garage door. Stolen was a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle with blue stripes, a toolbox, TV and entertainment equipment, according to the police report.

The suspects are described as two white males, one approximately 6’0″ tall, heavyset and the other being a bit shorter and heavyset.

One suspect was seen leaving the residence in a small blue sedan vehicle and the other suspect was driving the stolen motorcycle.
