Human Rights Commission Discusses Civility Month

By Lisa Carolin

Members of the Chelsea Human Rights Commission want to get the word out about a moderated panel discussion focusing on civility to be held Thursday, Nov. 4, at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom.

That was one of the topics at the Chelsea Human Rights Commission meeting held last week via Zoom.

The Civility Panel will include representatives from the Chelsea school district, local government, the faith community, the senior community, and youth.

(See below for more information from Joanne Ladio regarding planned events.)

Members of the HRC also talked about plans for MLK Day events in January.

HRC’s newest member, Dr. Brenda Donaldson, M.D., is hoping to find a speaker to address health access for low income groups. In addition to the HRC, the Chelsea District Library and One World One Family are planning projects for MLK Day.

HRC members voted to change their next meeting to Wednesday, Nov. 10, at 7 p.m. via Zoom.
