It’s Girl Scout Cookie Time

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Beth Sparks-Jackson for the information in this story.)

It’s Girl Scout cookie season, and cookie sales are the primary fundraiser for Girl Scout troops in Chelsea.

The Girl Scout Cookie Program teaches girls to embrace their entrepreneurial spirit as they learn skills like organization, people skills, goal setting, and decision making. In addition to supporting larger Girl Scout organizations, cookie sales directly support the troops’ community service projects and activities like trips, camping, and horseback riding.

As with many events this year, cookie booth sales continue to be limited because of COVID-19 restrictions. Chelsea Area Girl Scouts will continue its digital option again this season to protect girls and our community, and to provide another way to purchase cookies.

Use the QR code (on left) or click here for preorders of three boxes or more please. Watch for an invoice in your email, pay for your order, and pick up your personally packaged order of cookies at Agricole Farm Stop (118 N. Main St.) on the following Sunday between 2 and 4 pm.

If online ordering is not an option for you, or if you only need a box or two, cookies will also be available for sale every Sunday from 2 to 4 at Agricole Farm Stop thru March 20.

Finally, if you want to support Chelsea Area Girl Scouts but don’t want the cookies for yourself, the troops can donate any cookies you purchase to local organizations.
