One of the new vendors at the Wednesday farmers market in Chelsea, who happens to be drawing quite a crowd, is The Cheese People of Grand Rapids. David Grothause runs the Chelsea market stand and sells a big variety of cheeses.
There are firm, semi-firm, semi-soft, and soft cheeses. The Cheese People sells aged Parmesan, several varieties of Swiss, cheddar and gouda cheeses, as well as blue cheeses and string cheeses.
There are plenty of other choices from Wednesday vendors including honey, eggs, baguettes, cookies, meets, fruit and vegetables, plants, soy candles and more.
The market runs from 2-6 p.m. and is located at the Chelsea State Bank parking lot at the intersection of M-52 and Old US12 and runs from 2-6 p.m.
This week, Doug Worthington of Doug’s Mugs will be at the market along with Brown Bear, which sells baked goods.
These are the other Wednesday vendors, though not every vendor is guaranteed to be there.
