Ken Lynn Fundraising Eagle Scout Project to Improve Dog Park

With his senior year at Chelsea High School about to begin, Ken Lynn has added some additional pressure to his schedule. He is working on his Eagle Scout Project.

Lynn, who has been a member of Chelsea Troop 476 for seven years, has decided to make improvements to the Chelsea Dog Park his project.

“The agility course seemed lackluster when I visited, so I thought some additions would mean more fun for the dogs,” said Lynn. “My Eagle Scout Project aims to improve the local dog park by adding five benches and improving the agility course by adding hurdles, a teeter-totter, weaving poles, and a tunnel. I will also be spreading everything out to create a less congested park.”

Lynn is fundraising for the project through GoFundMe, which he is co-managing with his father. Funds raised will be used to purchase tools, material, paint, and other supplies and the campaign runs through August 28, 2023 at:

“I hope these additions to the dog park will allow both the dogs and their owners to have a more enjoyable experience and encourage more people to visit which would improve the dogs’ health and social skills,” said Lynn.

His goal is to begin work at the end of August with the hope of finishing it sometime in September.

You can also donate to Lynn’s Eagle Project by adding tips to jars where you see his flyers around town – at Wags to Whiskers, Chelsea Animal Hospital, Lane Animal Hospital, Secret Crisis Comics, and Polly’s.
