Dear Editor:
Our children have always been our priority, to us in our town. Help save our children’s fun, let the Council know if you want to keep a special place in our town for our children.
There was discussion at the last Chelsea Council Meeting about developing the “pocket park” green space next to the Purple Rose Theater on Park Street into a multi-unit housing building.
Our community has always considered that green space as saved, for our children, to enjoy during the snow season for tobogganing, sledding and snowboarding – to have healthy outdoor fun. City kids can’t always get out into the country, and for years, that undeveloped green space has given our children the only sledding hill in town. Let our kids know they are important to us in this matter.
Let the City Manager, Mayor and Council know that you want to keep our unique hill, our “sand lot” space, for our kids at the next Council Meeting on the revised meeting date, Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 7:00 pm during the public speaking portion of the meeting at the City Council Chambers or speak at the meeting on Zoom.
The Zoom link is on the City’s website.
Sincerely,
Diane Kyte
Chelsea
