Letter to the Editor: Asking the Essential Questions Will Move Chelsea Forward

Dear Editor:

I am a candidate for mayor of Chelsea, and I believe in a balanced approach to governing. In my life I have experienced poverty and the many challenges that it brings. It taught me self-reliance, hard work and follow through.

In my professional life and time on Chelsea Planning Commission I learned how to ask essential questions. I take the time and know how to research and understand critical information that will be important to move forward on issues. I can see the big picture and direction clearly as how to move Chelsea forward.

I will talk personally with any resident about any of their concerns. After people talk with me, they realize that I bring warmth and depth to city issues. I care about Chelsea moving into a sustainable path that will allow people to live here for as long as they want to.

In short, I care about non-partisanship, putting the small “d” back into democracy, and the rule of law by following our constitution-the city charter.

Sincerely,

Julianne Chard
