Letter to the Editor: Support Kate Henson for Chelsea School Board

Dear Editor:

I am a graduate of Chelsea schools and a retired educator. I support Kate Henson for the Chelsea School Board.

Here’s why:

Kate’s experience from working as a substitute teacher in Chelsea classrooms gives her a look from the inside out. She knows that each student is different and the importance of teachers establishing a comfortable climate so students can ask their questions and participate in class discussions.

Kate is a good listener. Through her knowledge of organizational development, she has the skills to promote collaboration among teachers, parents, administration and the public.

Kate holds a Master of Business Administration and knows how to read a budget. This will serve her well in the capacity of overseeing the school’s budget.

Our schools must be the best they can be, and I urge voters to cast a vote for Kate.
