Jennifer Fairfield, owner of the Garden Mill, will share tips on creating miniature gardens, terrariums, and other indoor and outdoor planters on March 14 from 7–8:30 p.m. in the McKune Room, Chelsea District Library.

Everyone is invited to the free lecture sponsored by the library and the Chelsea Area Garden Club (CAGC).

Miniature gardens are a fun way to start gardening or add a touch of whimsy to existing ones. Fairfield, who has been gardening since she was a child and is a CAGC member, will discuss using basic plants such as succulents and groundcovers, hardscape, water features and other materials.

Garden Mill staff member Maureen Tobin and Fairfield designed the Chelsea library’s miniature garden, which was created in 2017 with support from a CAGC grant and is used for educational and environmental programs.

To register for Fairfield’s lecture, call 475-8732 or go to www.chelseadistrictlibrary.org and click on the event tab.
