May 11-12, 14: Chelsea Theatre Guild Presents ‘The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon’

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Katherine Altman for the information in this story.)

The Chelsea High School Theatre Guild will perform “The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon” on Thursday, May 11 and Friday, May 12 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, May 14 at 3 p.m. at the Washington Street Education Center’s George Prinzing Auditorium, 500 Washington St.

Written by Don Zolidis and directed by Katherine Altman, the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm are turned on their heads in this fast-paced, rollicking ride as two narrators and a dozen actors attempt to combine all 209 stories ranging from classics like Snow White, Cinderella, and Hansel and Gretel to more bizarre, obscure stories like The Devil’s Grandmother and The Girl Without Hands. It’s a wild, free-form comedy with lots of audience participation and madcap fun.

Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students/seniors, and $5 for children 12 years old and under and are available in advance at Chelsea Pharmacy, 1125 S. Main St.

Tickets will also be available at the door. Seating is limited – get your tickets in advance.

Ticket special: If mothers or grandmothers attend the Mother’s Day performance (May 14) with two or more guests, moms get 50 percent off their ticket price.
