Chelsea Area Festivals and Events invites the community to help celebrate and support the 10th Anniversary of “Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights” at this year’s annual Michigan Wine and Beer Show.

The fundraiser will take place on Monday, May 19 from 6-9 p.m. at The Common Grill. Tickets are $50 per person and are available at the restaurant.

Guests will be treated to wide selection of Chef Craig’s sampling of Michigan foods, 50 wines and two dozen beers. Beers and wines will also be for sale that evening.

All proceeds from the event benefit Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights and the Sounds and Sights Festival.

“As with all nonprofit events, fundraising is an essential part of Sounds & Sights,” said event co-organizer Craig Common in a press release.

“For our annual spring benefit this year, we want to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights by offering Michigan-made wine, beer and cuisine. The Wine and Beer Show helps us raise money so we can continue to provide quality entertainment, free to the public, at Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights. Our team has been busy planning events and scheduling performers and this is a fun way to share our excitement for the upcoming season with the community.”

Sounds and Sights is kicking off its 10th season on June 5 and runs every Thursday until Aug. 14.

Dates for the 38th annual Sounds and Sights Festival are July 24-26.

“Sounds and Sights has become a popular community event,” said Common. “We have put together a fantastic lineup of returning favorites, as well as some new and innovative local groups. We truly appreciate the support of the community and volunteers who make this event so successful.”
