May 20: Road Closures Planned for Heart and Sole Races

The Chelsea Police Department reminds residents that on Saturday, May 20 from 8:10 -11 a.m., there will be intermittent road closures for the annual Heart and Sole Race.

The road closure timing includes:

8:10-8:20 a.m. North Freer at Trinkle Road will be closed.

9:20-11 a.m. Trinkle, North Freer, Washington, Madison, AD Mayer will all be closed for the Heart and Sole race.

For people attending the baseball tournament, you will need to park at Pierce Lake Elementary (located at N. Freer and Old US-12). There will be a shuttle service for people who are in need of assistance and unable to walk provided by the Kiwanis. People using the shuttle service will need to park in the teacher lot of the Pierce Lake Elementary School on the west side of the building.

There is also a bicycle race and a 10K race but those will occur in areas not within the city and will mostly take place in rural areas.
