MUVE Provides Mobility Independence with First Ride Free Campaign

MUVE, a leader in mobility solutions, recently announced that it will be offering Go MUVE app users one free ride on the Western-Washtenaw Area Value Express (WAVE) bus system provided they book the trip using the app.

“In celebration of Independence Day and to contribute to independent living, we are extending this special offer to Go MUVE app users,” said Peter Grande co-founder of MUVE in a press release.

Go MUVE app launched in April 2022 in partnership with the WAVE.

To date, more than 7,600 trips on the WAVE buses have been dispatched through MUVE’s transit app. MUVE transportation platform has enabled the WAVE to offer extended hours and weekend service.

Julia Roberts, WAVE’s executive director said, “The WAVE bus system and Go MUVE app provides transportation independence to the Chelsea, Dexter, and surrounding communities by ensuring accessible, reliable, sustainable, and inclusive transportation solutions for people of all abilities in Washtenaw County.”

To benefit from the promotion, riders must simply:

  • Download the Go MUVE app, available on iOS or Android
  • Create a Go MUVE user profile (select any special needs, if applicable)
  • Book a ride for the same day or reserve it for another day

This Michigan Mobility Challenge project, funded in partnership with the Michigan Department of Transportation and Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s Office of Future Mobility and Electrification, enhances mobility solutions such as shared rides to work and non-emergency medical transportation services for everyone.
