No-Cost ‘Matter of Balance’ Virtual Workshops

Mix up your fitness regimen this fall by trying the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan’s A Matter of Balance: Managing Concerns about Falls.

This virtual workshop helps older adults prevent falls and reduce the fear of falling. The workshop also helps participants safely increase their physical activity, learn strategies to prevent falls and improve balance and flexibility.

The workshop includes step-by-step instruction, helpful for those who have not exercised before or in a long time. The eight-week virtual workshop is open to any adult 65 and older. There is no cost to participate but donations are always welcome.

A Matter of Balance virtual workshops over Zoom:
Info Session: Wednesday, September 28, 2:00 to 3:00 pm
Eight sessions – Wednesdays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on October 12, 19, 26; November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30

Info Session: Monday, October 3, 2:00 to 3:00 pm
Eight sessions – Mondays from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on October 10, 17, 24, 31; November 7, 14, 21, 28

If you do not have a doctor because you do not have health care coverage, you can apply now for coverage, including Medicaid.
