Nov. 13: Holiday Wine Show at the Common Grill

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Bridget Favre for the information in this story.)

The Common Grill invites the community to help celebrate and support “Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights” at its annual Holiday Wine Show on Monday, Nov. 13 from 6-9 p.m. at The Common Grill restaurant, 112 South Main St.

Tickets are on sale at $50 per person for this fundraiser and are available at the restaurant.

Guests will be treated to a wide sampling of Chef Craig’s award-winning cuisine and a variety of international and California wines. The specially selected wines will also be for sale that evening, with proceeds from the event benefiting Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights and the Sounds and Sights Festival.

“The Holiday Wine Show is one of The Common Grill’s most successful annual events and we saw it as a great opportunity to help raise funds for Sounds and Sights,” said Craig Common, proprietor and executive chef of The Common Grill.

“Fundraising is essential for these programs and the proceeds from the Holiday Wine Show will help Sounds and Sights provide quality entertainment, free to the public,” he said.

A program of the non-profit organization, Chelsea Area Festivals and Events, Sounds and Sights on Thursday Nights is one of Michigan’s most popular free open-air concert series and is known for its variety of music from jazz to blue grass to country and more.

In July, there is also a three-day Sounds and Sights Festival, which includes an open-air art market, a classic car show, and a chalk art contest.
