Jim Randolph, Kiwanis president and past president of Chelsea Senior Center, spoke to the Chelsea Kiwanis Club last Monday about the new branding campaign Kiwanis is undertaking.

The Kiwanis International Foundation is now called the Kiwanis Children’s Fund.  Grants are awarded to clubs around the world for worthy projects to help youth stay healthy, become educated, develop leadership skills, and benefit from any priority issue they face.

Some of the new videos can be viewed here.

2016-kiwanis-fruit-saleLast Saturday, Chelsea High School Key Club members joined with Kiwanians and Chelsea Senior Center administrators to clear the leaves from several yards in town. It was a beautiful day and all had fun working in the fresh air.

This Monday, we will hear from Trinh Pifer, executive director of the Chelsea Senior Center. Kiwanis has supported the senior center’s efforts for many years to help area seniors stay engaged in the community, provide health and fitness opportunities, and stay entertained with a vast number of hobbies. We look forward to hearing the latest goings-on from Pifer.

There are just two weeks left before a semi-truck arrives from Florida with fresh citrus. Please support the Kiwanis fundraiser and purchase some of that healthful food for your family and friends.

You can order from any Kiwanian or stop in Chelsea State Bank, Heydlauff’s, or Palmer Auto Service to place an order.

The club meeting begins each Monday at 6:15 p.m. in the St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Hospital cafeteria, and the speakers begin at about 6:45 p.m.

Everyone is invited to the club’s meetings to learn about Kiwanis.
