The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office has experienced an increase in reports of larcenies from motor vehicles within the last couple of months from unlocked vehicles.
There have been reports that this in happening in Chelsea as well.
Please, lock your vehicles to prevent these types of thefts. A little prevention on the front end can save many problems on the back end.
Stow all valuables out of sight, lock vehicle doors when parked and report suspicious persons and activities in the community to law enforcement.
