Probility Physical Therapy: outpatient rehab clinic at Chelsea Wellness Center

(Chelsea Update would like to thank Laura Blodgett for the information in this story.)

Probility Physical Therapy, a member of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS), is now operating St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea (SJMC) outpatient rehabilitation services, located inside the Chelsea Wellness Center at 14800 E. Old US-12 in Chelsea.

Patients will continue to receive orthopedic and physical therapy as well as hand therapy, delivered by many of the same highly skilled SJMC therapists in addition to several new Probility colleagues. Other services include manual therapy, a specialized form of physical therapy, as well as pelvic health treatment.

St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Rehabilitation Services will continue to provide outpatient rehab services for patients being treated for neurological, cancer and vestibular disorders.

This move is part of Saint Joseph Mercy Health System’s vision to provide a consistent outpatient therapy program within all of the communities it serves across southeast Michigan.

“Probility offers 16 clinics across Washtenaw, Livingston, Lenawee and Wayne counties, and patients can expect to receive the same effective treatment delivered with exceptional care at each location,” said Patrick Hoban, president of Probility Physical Therapy.

SJMC will continue its existing athletic contracts for onsite athletic trainers during high school sports games through Probility.

“We are excited to have a Probility location now located on our Chelsea campus,” said Nancy Graebner, president and CEO of St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea. “Probility is part of the St. Joe’s family of services, and will be a very welcome addition to the community for those seeking outpatient orthopedic rehab services.”
