This week, I received several comments from one reader and additional comments from readers who did not include their real names with their comments.
As always, I sent them an email with the policy for commenting on stories on Chelsea Update.
Several of the emails I sent bounced back as no such person … which tells me something right there. Other folks did not respond; others accused me of censorship.
I am publishing the comment policy for Chelsea Update for all to read below, and after 8 years, unless readers would like me to reconsider this policy, I have no plans to change course as I know I cannot please all of the people all of the time.
So, please feel free to comment (with your real name), call or email me privately at [email protected] if you would like me to consider changing this policy.

Good for you, Lisa! I support your decision wholeheartedly. When people want to make nasty comments or “troll” a site, isn’t it interesting that they change their mind when they find out everyone will know they said it?
(Never mind computerized “bots” making comments in order to sway opinions. )
If you can’t say something to someone’s face, you have no business posting it on someone’s site anonymously. Unfortunately, the internet has made anonymity all too easy for way too many.

I am delighted to see someone take the lead on the appropriate way to respond to a view, a decision, etc. I no longer live in Chelsea but am always delighted to catch up on local events and news and look forward to reading your postings. Thank you for this publication.
Thank you Lisa for running this website. We are Chelsea residents but now we are living on Okinawa, Japan where my Bride and I both work for our military. I am an electrician on base and my Bride is a therapist in the military school system. It is great to read about home. I am glad that you are making people own their comments here.
