Recent obituaries: Mary Ann Burgess, Wendell Jay Jackson

Burgess,-Mary-Ann-webMary Ann Burgess of Chelsea, age 78, passed away on Aug. 20, 2015 at Legacy Assisted Living in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of Otis and Mary (Eisele) Titus.

She was a member of the Michigan Practical Nurses Association and had served as 2nd Vice President. She worked as a LPN at the Chelsea Retirement Community for 25 years, then doing home care after her retirement. She was a Cub Scout den mother for many years. She was also a member of FCE.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church all of her life, a member of the Altar Society, and a founding member of the Washtenaw Catholic Council on Aging.

She enjoyed dancing, traveling all over the world and sea cruises. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Jackson,-Wendell-photoWendell Jay Jackson of Chelsea, age 59, passed away at home on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2015.

He was born on April 13, 1956, in Stockbridge, MI, the son of Bernie and Hazel (Scott) Jackson. Wendell had lived in the area for the past 15 years, coming from Stockbridge. He enjoyed deer hunting, gardening, fishing, watching baseball, and spending time with his kids.
