On Wednesday, June 11, the Washtenaw County Road Commission is expected to close Parker Road between Trinkle and Shield roads in Scio and Lima townships to replace a failing culvert.
It is anticipated that the culvert replacement project will be completed by the end of the day on June 11, however, please be advised that due to weather conditions, all dates are tentative and subject to change.
The posted detour for this temporary closure is Jackson Road, Baker Road, Main Street and Dexter-Chelsea Road.
Local access for adjacent properties on Parker Road will be maintained during the temporary closure. However, no through traffic will be allowed.
To maintain the safety of road crews, motorists are asked to be especially mindful of personnel and construction equipment and to reduce speeds accordingly.
The Road Commission thanks you in advance for your patience as these necessary improvements to the county road system are completed.
