Reminder: Public forum tonight about schools’ millage renewal vote on May 7

Tonight, representatives from the Chelsea School District will host a public forum about the upcoming millage renewal vote on May 7.

The forum will take place April 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the board room of the Washington Street Education Center.

  1. Democracy in action..All the folks that won’t have to pay the taxes get to vote that other (no votes allowed) property owners will pay. Sounds like a no-brainer. As a summer resident (non-homestead) I get to pay taxes to support the schools that I have no benefit from.
