If you haven’t checked out the new Winter Farmers Market at the Senior Center in the Washington Street Education Center on Saturdays from 9-noon, you are missing out on more than 20 vendors and all kinds of fun and yummy products.

Stone Hearth Bakery for one. And, you are probably familiar with their products if you visited either the Wednesday Bushel Basket Market or the Saturday Farmers Market. Well, they are one of the many familiar faces at the Winter Farmers Market as well.

The bakery will have an example of its fresh-baked turkey centerpiece this week, which is perfect for your family’s Thanksgiving dinner. The turkey’s weigh 4 pounds and are 16 inches in diameter. (And, the wing center can be cut out and filled with dip.)

Did I mention that they are as cute as a “feathery” button? Plus, they come in three flavors — rosemary herb, honey white or honey wheat. You really need to check them out. And, visit all the other vendors as well.

You can order a turkey centerpiece for $25 this Saturday or call the bakery at 517-592-4411 through Nov. 23 at 6 p.m. to order your favorite flavor.

And, the bakery is also planning three free turkey centerpiece drawings on Monday, Nov. 23. One for each flavor. If your name is pulled, the vendor will refund your $25 purchase price. (Keep in mind that you must purchase a centerpiece turkey to be eligible for the drawing that will take place at the bakery, 307 South Main St., Brooklyn.

Pick-up of the unique centerpieces will be Wednesday, Nov. 25 until 4 p.m. so it will be fresh for your Thanksgiving table.
