Chelsea Update is a one person, seven-day-a-week news site providing readers with all the news that’s fit to publish about the Chelsea community.

It was started on July 23, 2012, the anniversary of the closing of the Ann Arbor News where I’d spent many years covering the 17 communities of Western Washtenaw County.

I decided to give up my full time job with benefits at AnnArbor.com to relaunch this free site that covers primarily Chelsea but also the communities in the Chelsea School District.

With the help of the community, Chelsea Update covers everything from government to civic organizations, business, events, the schools and sports.

How to make a donation

Chelsea Update is my full-time job and I spend 10-12 hours a day, six days a week publishing it for readers. My advertisers are an important part of the financial success of the site, but I depend on reader’s donations as well.

If you enjoy Chelsea Update and would like to see it continue, please consider making a donation* of any amount either through PayPal or by sending a check.

Thank you!
