On Thursday, Rick Catherman became the third city resident to file petitions to run for the Nov. 7 Chelsea City Council election.
Catherman, the band director at Chelsea High School and the president of the Chelsea Education Association, filed to run as a Council Member.
He joins current Council Members Cheri Albertson and Melissa Johnson who filed petitions on Wednesday. Albertson filed to run as a City Council Member and Johnson filed to run for mayor.
The deadline to submit petitions is Tuesday, July 25 at 4 p.m.
