Join the staff at The Garden Mill for a series of free workshops featuring ideas and tips to enjoy your garden. The events take place every Saturday in March at 11 am.

March 14: Birdscaping Your Yard
Gary Siegrist, naturalist and stewardship coordinator for The Dahlem Conservancy in Jackson, will discuss designing your garden to create a welcoming habitat for birds.  Gary will talk about attracting a larger number and greater variety of birds through landscaping choices that provide food, water, shelter and nesting sites.

March 21: Composting Made Easy
Rick Weller, owner and founder of Organically Done, a Michigan-based manufacturer of organic plant products since 2009, will cover topics including the science of composting, do’s and don’ts, simple composter designs and more.

March 28: A Weed by Any Other Name
Horticulturalists define a weed as “a plant out of place.” Join Garden Mill owner Jennifer Fairfield, as she discusses many common weeds, how to identify them, and strategies to keep them from taking over your yard and gardens.
