Who will it be: Chelsea or Dexter?

Here’s a little competition you won’t want to pass up.

John Mann, president and CEO of Chelsea State Bank, has announced a new bank-sponsored social media promotion campaign.

“Beginning Aug. 12, we will kick off a Facebook Contest between the Chelsea Education Foundation and The Educational Foundation of Dexter.”

“Both foundations are very excited about the contest and are eager to help promote it in their school districts,” Mann says in a press release.

Contest participants are able to vote for their favorite foundation on the Chelsea State Bank Facebook page. Those who have already “liked” the page are already eligible to vote, and for those who haven’t “liked” the page, here’s your chance.  Click here.

Chelsea State Bank’s Facebook page includes a ballot, just click on the “vote” button under either the Chelsea Education Foundation or The Educational Foundation of Dexter.

There is one vote per person and each foundation can win up to $2,000. Each vote means $1 to your favorite educational foundation.

“Chelsea State Bank encourages all voters to promote and share this contest with their friends, families and Facebook contacts,” Mann says, adding that the contest also serves to help expand the reach of Chelsea State Bank’s Facebook page.

“We want to grow our personal and business market share in Dexter,” he says, and “attract more young professionals and families in both the Chelsea and Dexter areas.”

Whichever foundation receives the most votes will receive an additional $500 — for a total not to exceed $2,500.

“Urge your friends and family to vote for their favorite education foundation,” Mann says.

The competition runs until Sept. 16.
