WWRA: County clean-up day this Saturday, May 17

This Saturday, May 17 is County Clean-up Day.

If you have recyclables and other junk lying around, load up your car, and come to the Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority (WWRA) facility at 8025 Werkner Road between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Accepted materials include all normal recyclables (glass, cardboard, paper, plastic, scrap metal) as well as motor oil, electronics, and Freon appliances. Hazardous household materials such as cleaning materials and oil-based paints will also be accepted.

Please note that normal household garbage fees apply.

Residents can bring up to four tires for free, but will pay $5 for each additional tire. Residents can also dispose of one of the following items for free: television, washer, dryer, Freon containing appliance or computer.

A suggested donation of $10 will be accepted from each car, and please note that businesses and out-of-county are restricted from attending.
