Creative Play 2017-18, “Munching With Matthew” takes place at the Chelsea First United Methodist Church on Monday or Tuesday morning from 9:30-11 a.m.
There is no charge for the program, and anyone in the community is welcome, but a parent or grandparent must attend with the child. The program takes place in the preschool room at Chelsea First United Methodist Church, 128 Park St.
Each family comes one morning a week to enjoy free play and creative “craft” activities, a Bible story told during snack time, a time of songs and active learning through simple skits or games, and we close with a quiet song and prayer. Weekly handouts include the words to the finger plays and songs and ideas for how the scripture passage can support Christian parenting.
Starting the week of Sept. 11, the group will study the Gospel of Matthew.
