7th grade gold tops Dexter in volleyball

7th grade gold
The 7th grade gold volleyball team defeated rival team Dexter with the support of the home crowd behind them.

The Bulldogs won the match after winning the first set 25-17 and third set 25-16 with a loss in the close second set 20-25.

Team highlights include good passes by Kyah Mitchell and Carley Grabarcyzk and a nice set by Lindsay Favre.

Top servers for the match include Sasha French with 4 aces with many points and Jenna Ouellette with 8 serves over in a row to run up the score.

Good job TEAM GOLD.

7th grade blue
The 7th grade blue volleyball team lost all 3 sets to a very strong Bedford team Wednesday night at Bedford.

Allie Schumann led with 5 serve points, Grace Ratliff had 4, Katie Jedele 3, Shelby Wheeler and Kate Krugh each had 2 and Caroline Knight 1.

Caroline and Maya Valik had great plays at the net.

8th grade gold
8th Grade Gold Volleyball played Dexter last night, winning the first game by a solid 25-11 score and then dropping the last two.

Strong serving came from Madi Kay with 8 points and Sierra Suntheimer with 6 points including 3 aces.

Emilee Underwood had a nice save and a tip at the net.

The second game was a battle back and forth. The team lost 18-25, as they struggled with serving. Jordan Siefert had a nice save and set over the net and Sierra had two hits.

With the match on the line, the Bulldogs struggled early and fell behind by 10 points in the 3rd game. The team fought back from this deficit with strong serving from Caitlin White to bring it back to within 2, but in the end, Chelsea fell short 20-25.

8th grade blue
Chelsea 8th grade blue volleyball fell to the Bedford Kicking Mules Wednesday night.

We started out strong but struggled with serve receive. Each game I see improvement by all my players.
