Aug. 26-27: Chelsea High School Class of 1987 Reunion Weekend

Chelsea High School Class of 1987 will be having a very informal, quickly put together reunion weekend starting on Friday (Aug.26) at the fair in the pavilion near the red barn exhibit building.

Friday night, we are meeting 5:30-7:30 at the pavilion next to the ice cream stand, south of the red barn exhibit building. This is an opportunity to connect with classmates, get signed up, and start the weekend festivities. There will be a cooler of pop as no alcohol is permitted on the grounds. There is a $10 admission to the fair at the gate.

Saturday, the reunion at German Park kicks off at 4 p.m. when gates open. Andrew Parker Box and Rob Burg will arrive early to reserve the spot and get set-up. There is a $5 per person admission and food tickets are $1 each. Cash only. There is an ATM on site. No pets (service dogs need documentation) and no outside food or drink (including water). The official event ends at 7 as we make our way to Ugly Dog in downtown Chelsea, but German Park closes at 11 p.m.

After German Park, the festivities continue a little closer to the scene of many high school crimes/escapades at Ugly Dog in Chelsea at 8 p.m. Enjoy a cocktail made with one of Ugly Dog’s many award-winning liquors while listening to the music of indie pop/Americana/folk rock artist Amanda Walker direct from Nashville through the hard work of Jeff Stacey.

With so many exciting options, there’s something for everyone. Hope to see many classmates for reminiscing on our crazy high school days.
