The Beach Middle School Girls Gold basketball team beat Adrian 19-2, Thursday night, starting the season, 2-0.
The girls really wanted to win this game for Grace Bush, a fellow teammate, who has been unable to play, the coach said.
The team gained a lot of momentum in the first quarter which, lead them to win all five quarters.
Players who scored were:
Katelyn McKinley – 12 points
Rachel Melody – 8 points
Audrey Phillips – 2 points
Anna Regis – 4 points
Mackenzie Schneider – 2 points
Jordan Seitz – 5 points
The team defeated Lincoln earlier in the week, 20-14, in overtime.
The girls represented Beach Middle School well by playing together as a team on the defensive side and making plays happen on the offensive side.
During the fifth quarter the girls hustled and were able to tie up the game, which lead us into overtime, where the girls were able to really show their talent as a team.
This is just the beginning of a great season.
