Every year, members of Chelsea Area Women’s Service Club (CAWS) assist Chelsea High School administration honoring the cum laude seniors.

With the high school closed, club members were unable to celebrate that event so they decided to honor CHS seniors by hanging blue and yellow ribbons around town.

The ribbons were the idea of Cec Montoye. Her granddaughter, Myranda, is a 2020 Senior and CHS Cum Laude student. She wanted to honor her granddaughter and all the other seniors, so she presented this project to the CAWS membership via email and phone conversations.

Last week, the group hung 250 ribbons around Chelsea in their honor.
