Thanks to a grant from the Chelsea Wellness Foundation, the Chelsea Senior Center is launching a new program to help area seniors remain independents and is looking for both a coordinator and an intern for the program.

Called the Chelsea Community Senior Services (C2S2) program, these new employees will help develop and manage a database of resources, volunteers and vendors to assist area seniors with a variety of needs related to remaining independent, according to the job postings.

The coordinator will work with the Chelsea Community Senior Services (C2S2) Steering Committee to launch and manage the new program at the center. The job requires about 15-20 hours Monday-Friday throughout the year, and includes working on some weekends and evenings for special events.

The intern will “support the mission of the Chelsea Senior Center to promote, encourage, and organize activities that
address the physical, social, and emotional concerns of Chelsea area senior citizens and their families,” according to the job description.

The intern’s spot is a minimum of 10 hours a week during the new program development phase.
