Chelsea State Bank recently announced phase two of renovations, which include the temporary suspension of banking services at the Downtown Branch effective Monday, Sept. 18 with the goal to reopen the newly remodeled branch on Tuesday, Oct. 17, following the successful completion of this project.
“Phase one is nearing completion which includes updating the lobby, moving offices and the customer service areas, HVAC updates, creating state-of-the-art conference rooms, all while lifting the ambiance to an elegantly modern feel,” said Joanne Rau, president & CEO, of Chelsea State Bank in a press release.
“We are excited to begin this project’s second and final phase on Sept. 18. This phase includes renovating the drive-thru area and preparing for a generator. These projects will be completed during business hours, therefore they present a great challenge to our customers, employees, and the construction team. As a result, we decided to temporarily suspend banking services at the Chelsea Downtown Branch to allow the construction crew to efficiently complete their work with minimal interruptions.”
- Safe Deposit Boxes – Customers needing to access their safe deposit boxes are asked to call (734) 475-1355 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment. Once customers have a scheduled appointment, they are asked to enter the bank using Main Street.
- New Accounts – During this phase, businesses and individuals looking to open a new account, perform account maintenance or banking-related transactions/inquiries can do so by visiting our Main Office located at 1010 S. Main St.
- New accounts – May also be opened online by visiting www.chelseastate.bank. Customers will not be able to visit the drive-thru or the lobby during this phase.
- ATM – The ATM at the Chelsea Downtown Branch will remain operational during phase two. There might be times when customers may need to walk up to the ATM to complete their transactions.
- Night Drop – Clients who currently utilize our Chelsea Downtown Night Drop are encouraged to call (734) 475-1355 or email [email protected] to schedule an appointment for authorization to utilize the Plaza Night Drop as the Downtown Night Drop will be unavailable during this timeframe.
“We are ecstatic about the investment we are putting into our branch and the community,” said Rau. “During this phase in the process, we need to shift services to our other branches, temporarily. We expect this to be minimal and short in duration. You can expect to see the same friendly faces at our Plaza and Dexter Branches during the renovation.”
